HARRIS COUNTY CITIZENS CORPS COUNCIL
The Harris County Citizen Corps Council coordinates with volunteer groups such as the Red Cross, the Salvation Army, the United Way, and Citizen Corps programs to identify preparedness training and volunteer opportunities. The Citizen Corps programs include the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), the USA on Watch/Neighborhood Watch Program, Volunteers in Police Service, Fire Corps and the Medical Reserve Corps. |

The Texas Gulf Coast Region (TGCR) Voluntary Organizations Active
in Disaster (VOAD) coordinates planning efforts by many voluntary
organizations responding to disaster. Member organizations provide
more effective and less duplication in service by getting together
before disasters strike. |

For more than 25 years, VOLUNTEER HOUSTON has been the city's sole referral service connecting volunteers to a broad spectrum of diverse nonprofit organizations. |

INTERFAITH MINISTRIES
IM works with 10 communities of faith, including Baha'I, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jain, Jewish, Muslim, Sikh, Unitarian Universalist and Zoroastrian communities of faith. Together they provide the foundation upon which IM builds collaborative partnerships to serve senior and refugees. |
