These lessons were designed so you can modify to suit your class. We have included several different lessons for each grade level that can be used in part for a one-day activity or as a complete unit over several days. In fact, these lessons offer an opportunity for a school-wide program.

In creating these mini-units, we have drawn from the federal emergency preparedness site as well as from Sesame Street Workshop, leaders in early childhood education.

With your help, students in the Houston Region can feel safe knowing what to do in case disaster should strike. Take advantage of these FREE resources to use in your classroom.
